The VR game

About the game

A team of young enlightened individuals embarks on a journey through the distant universe, each seeking experiences to shape their future paths in life.

A special single-seat rocket was built for this demanding mission. One of the crew members will assume the role of an Astronaut and pilot the rocket. The other members, serving as the Leader, Communicator, and Technician, will support the Astronaut by providing essential background information, data, and cooperation necessary to complete individual tasks.

With four epics and 10-13 user stories, this VR game will allow students to explore the onboarding experience as a team.

Suitable for: 4-8 players

  • How do I get the game?

Read the installation manual to download the game to your VR device.

  • What do I need to play the game?

    1. VR: You need two VR headsets with Horizon OS (Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3)
    2. PC: Computer with SideQuest to install the APK on Quest headsets
    3. Space: A room with at least 2 x 2m for VR play, with space for two tables that each seat three people. See the Facilitator manuals for our recommended setup
    4. Printer Access: You’ll need a printer for game materials. A color printer is best for EPIC3 but not required; other items can be printed in black and white.
    5. Manuals: Print the manuals or provide a tablet for each team member to read the PDF version. We suggest printing the manuals for reuse in multiple game sessions
    6. Imagelee Cards: The game includes a free demo with enough cards to play. You can print these with a regular printer or buy them from Imagelee.com
    7. Note-taking Supplies: Each player should have at least one A5 sheet of paper per EPIC and a pen. Colored pens are recommended for clearer notes
    8. Power for VR Headsets: We recommend having a 10000mAh power bank and a 1.5-meter USB-C cable for each VR headset to charge during the game. While workshops can be done without power banks if headsets are charged during breaks, forgetting to charge them even once may require a power bank to keep them running
  • What to do before conducting the game workshop

    1. Prepare the VR headsets with the installed APK
    2. Prepare all the printables and other resources
    3. Have the Facilitator try to play the game first (the game can be played in a limited setup with just 2 people)
    4. Prepare the room where the workshop will be conducted, and test if there is enough room for VR
    5. Fully charge the headsets
    6. While conducting the workshop, place the VR headset on a charger during the discussion between EPICs
